Job Description:

The Senior Product Marketing Manager for Sage Distribution & Manufacturing Operations will be a cornerstone in driving the success of this incredibly exciting new cloud native offering for product centric Businesses. You will work ‘hand in glove’ with the Product Management teams to craft the propositions that drive the growth and modernisation of Sage ERP. Through strategic thinking and analysis to understand the range of buyer and user personas we would want to attract, this critical role will provide insight into the market for cloud solutions for manufacturing and distribution, ecosystem trends, and competitor landscape, creating clarity around how we win with SDMO. To do this, you will require significant focus and building out specific customer segmentation, clarity around vertical and sub verticals industries we want to serve, the ability to communicate crystal clear ICP (Ideal Customer Profiles), and the ability to energise our regional GTM teams.

What's in it for you?

You will be able to develop and evolve the global go to market strategy, design winning propositions including messaging and positioning, and work with the Routes to Revenue Growth managers to ensure success of the revenue plan in region. You will also be able to connect across global teams, develop creative and innovative product marketing strategies driven by customer insight, inspire our sales and marketing channels through the delivery of successful commercial results.

Location - 3 days per week out of our Winnersh or Newcastle office.

Key Responsibilities:

Summary of your day to day.

As part of the Sage ERP Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth by defining compelling customer value propositions that align with the company’s strategy and maximize Sage’s brand differentiation. This includes collaborating with the pricing strategy team to establish frameworks that ensure proposition success. You will take full ownership of launching new products and propositions, leading cross-functional launch squads to deliver successful go-to-market strategies. Working closely with our Routes to Revenue team, you will guide region-specific plans, developing detailed channel strategies, messaging, positioning, value-added content, and sales enablement tools. Additionally, you will manage the delivery of the proposition roadmap in partnership with product strategy, pricing, and go-to-market teams to achieve financial targets. By working with Product Management teams, you’ll ensure customer insights and customer-led strategies inform product development. Acting as a global ambassador for Sage, you will contribute to thought leadership, represent the brand at events, in the media, with analysts, and through digital channels, showcasing exceptional Sage content.

Skills, know-how and experience:

• Proven experience in a customer and commercially led Product Marketing role with deep domain expertise and a track record of building and executing product and proposition growth strategies across multi-functional teams.

• Experience of launching new value propositions.

• Strong knowledge of of product centric organisations and industries, which includes a deep understanding of the business needs and challenges faced by customers, and competitors in the space.

• Experienced in product marketing methodologies, value proposition development, combined with marketing/communications and ability to work with Product and Commercial teams.

• Ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level – Established experience launching successful products in highly competitive technology markets.

• Proven creative thinker that independently generates and executes on innovative marketing ideas. Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content.
