Essential Functions\ \
- Provide academic advising services to students who have declared a major in academic departments 3 and 4 Department 3 (Fine Arts & Humanities) andDepartment 4 (Natural Science, Social Science, & Mathematics), particularly Elementary Education.
- Communicate with representatives from other colleges on topics related to transfer.
- In cooperation with Student Success Center staff, develop and coordinate career advising, orientation, and student engagement activities.
- Maintain articulation documents using computerized delivery systems.
- Implement retention procedures including a variety of intervention activities.
- Utilize multiple contact management delivery systems (e.g. virtual, text, call, chat, face to face, email, or other) and document student communications accordingly.
- Maintain resource materials related to advising.
- Assess students and potential students utilizing college adopted assessment tools.
- Participate actively on institutional committees.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Recruit students for Departments 3 and 4 as needed.
- Attend Department 3 and 4 staff meetings.
