Job Responsibilities
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | The duties described below are indicative of what the Park Services | | Crewleader may be asked to perform; other duties may be assigned: | | | | - Schedules and performs maintenance on Park and Recreation fields, | | grounds and Facilities. | | - Performs inspections, routine, and preventative maintenance on | | playgrounds and City equipment. | | - Completes work orders and other paperwork as appropriate | | - Assists both internal and external customers in a respectful, | | positive manner. | | - Ensures that the Citys equipment is safely operated and all | | driving laws are obeyed. | | - Maintains all licenses, certifications, etc. as well as continues | | to learn new techniques and methodologies related to field. | | - Maintain Athletic fields: chalk, paint field markings, maintain | | infield dirt, and turf maintenance. | | - Maintain and trouble irrigation systems. | | - Cross train in other divisions and departments areas as | | appropriate. | | | | Supervise employees: | | | | - Ensure that employees understand how work is related to the Citys | | mission. | | - Assist in hiring personnel. | | - Manages staff resources including: crewman, TDCJ crews, seasonal | | workers, and volunteers. | | - Complete employee evaluations and make recommendations regarding | | unsatisfactory employees. | | - Fosters teamwork with coworkers. | | - Train and/or assist in training employees and/or coworkers. | | Ensure safety training is current and ongoing. | | - Respects the confidentiality of information or concerns shared by | | others. | | - Demonstrates ability to support organizational changes needed to | | improve effectiveness. | | | | QUALIFICATIONS | | | | Education and/or Experience - Required | | | | - High School Diploma or equivalent. | | - Valid Texas drivers license and acceptable driving record. (Texas | | Class B Commercial Drivers License or ability to obtain within | | the first 6 months of employment.) | | - Minimum of two (2) years experience in grounds and equipment | | maintenance. | | - Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
