CITY OF HUNTSVILLE Environmental Lab Analyst in HUNTSVILLE, Texas
[Bachelors degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science or related field from an accredited college or university. [Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a municipal wastewater facility, commercial laboratory, college laboratory, or industrial pretreatment program. [Minimum of sixteen (16) college semester credit hours in chemistry. microbiology and/or biology.

**[The objective of the Environmental Services Analyst is to protect the public health of the Citizens of Huntsville by analyzing, generating and reporting results for water and wastewater compliance monitoring.

**[The duties described below are indicative of what the Laboratory Analyst may be asked to perform; duties may be changed with or without notice.
[Performing bacteriological examinations of municipal drinking water through approved methodologies. *[Performing testing on wastewater samples and analyzing the data to ensure that the City meets federal, state and city established limits and monitoring requirements. *[Performing analysis on water and wastewater for the purpose of plant function process control. *[Preparing records and reports that comply with the standards of regulatory and enforcement agencies. *[Assists residents in a respectful, positive manner when dealing with customers (internal and external). *[Effectively applying knowledge to solve a range of problems including troubleshooting analytical and sampling equipment. *[Effectively organizing all materials and equipment needed for the task(s). *[Makes decisions regarding the efficient way to perform job responsibilities. *[Assists co-workers in the safe handling of equipment and in other duties, as appropriate. *[Adheres to all safety rules related to the field.
