JOB OVERVIEW

MartinFederal has an opening for a Timeline Change Officer to join our team of talented and diverse individuals. This role will directly support the International Space Station's Payload Operations Center at NASA's Marshall Space Flight in Huntsville, AL.

The Timeline Change Officer (TCO) serves as the real-time expert on all NASA experimental payload planning-related resources for the International Space Station. Coordinating with NASA Control Centers, International Partners, and NASA Payload Developers, the TCO bridges the gap between long-range planning and execution of the plan on board for the crew and ground teams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The TCO team supports real-time operations seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day; in addition, short term planning operations are supported five days a week, eight hours per day. Must have shift flexibility to accommodate changing mission priorities.

Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports:

  • TPS Report daily repository of all relevant planning information for use by console operators during real-time operations.

  • Weekly Activity Report weekly report to management

  • PPO / PARD planning requirements summaries generated by other positions but the TCO must review and reference

    Daily/Weekly/Monthly Meetings:

  • Branch Meeting weekly meeting with high level information about upcoming events that might impact Mission Planning

  • TCO Meeting weekly meeting to work out process changes and responses to changes at the team level

    Technology/Platforms/Sign-On's:

  • Generic Windows Knowledge

  • Generic MS Office Knowledge, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint

  • IVODS NASA-specific voice loop system for real-time communication

  • OPTIMIS NASA-specific planning software suite.

  • Payload Information Management System (PIMS)

  • MSFC-specific change tracking software

    QUALIFCATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant field OR an Associate's Degree with (2) years of relevant experience.

  • US Citizen

  • The candidate must possess excellent personal communications skills and be able to collaborate with scientists, engineers, program managers, international partners, etc.

  • The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and cooperative team builder with a focus on adaptability.

  • Must be organized, detail oriented, and possess strong analytic and critical thinking skills.

  • Employee must be a self-starter and have the ability to work with minimum supervision.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in payload operations integration is preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

  • Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, prolonged sitting while using the computer and the telephone and attending meetings, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness.

  • Ability to use a computer to input and retrieve information and data.

  • Ability to work rotating shifts.

  • Ability to travel as required by the Company
