Systems Analyst

Develop the Army’s Next Generation Sensor!

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Join a dynamic team of talented and inspired engineers developing a new US Army radar system. This program integrates state-of-the-art sensor technology with existing Army Air and Missile Defense systems. KBR is currently seeking a full-time Software Engineer to design and develop software solutions for a team of radar analysts supporting a rapid development program. This candidate would be responsible for continuing development of maintainable, reusable, software tools in MATLAB. Additional duties would include providing analytical support, software V&V, system software version and test configuration tracking.

The ideal candidate should be a problem-solver, resourceful, independently motivated and detail oriented, willing to travel, and work in the office every day. The position requires good time management capabilities and communication skills and computer skills.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, software, computer, etc.) or other STEM related fields (physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) with 2 years of experience.

• Demonstrated basic understanding of radar functionality.

• Proficiency in working and coding in MATLAB with working knowledge of coding in C, C++, and Python.

• Ability to perform debug, identify and improve problem areas in code and processes.

• Ability to organize, maintain and process large data sets.

• Candidate must be a US Citizen.

• Possess or be able to obtain (and be able to maintain) a Secret Clearance.

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Direct experience with radar hardware, radar architecture, and/or signal processing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members and leadership.

• Knowledge of Software design processes and V&V.

• Knowledge of applying Macros in Microsoft tools.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
