Description

An engaging opportunity is available for a Staff Accountant in Huntsville, Alabama. The role will be entirely on-site and will be a valuable addition to the finance and accounting department.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger

• Preparing and posting journal entries

• Assisting in the month-end close process

• Using Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations for accounting and finance tasks

• Managing asset inventory and ensuring records are up to date

• Adapting to changes within the department and taking on new responsibilities as needed

• Collaborating effectively with the finance and accounting team

• Providing support in cost accounting tasks

• Eager to grow and develop within the company.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Food & Food Processing industry

• Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated ability in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger management

• Practical experience with Journal Entries preparation and review

• Proficient in Month End Close procedures and tasks

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is required

• Experience in managing and maintaining Asset Inventory
