This opportunity will provide systems engineering support to the Systems Planning and Technical Leadership Branch, the Definition and Integration Branch, and the Space Nuclear Propulsion (SNP) Office, to assist the Demonstration Rocket for Agile Cislunar Operations (DRACO) flight demonstration insight effort and help prepare the Nuclear Propulsion Technology Maturation (NPTM) Project to enter Formulation Phase. Personnel will provide leadership and support for the development of systems engineering and project planning products for the SNP Office and shall support subsequent activities where these products are assessed and matured.

Job Requirements: A degree in aerospace, mechanical, systems or a related engineering field or discipline is required. A degree from an ABET-accredited university is preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a BS with at least 10 years of experience, or MS with at least 8 years of relevant experience. A successful candidate must have: Systems engineering and integration experience. Practical experience using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) including the implementation of MBSE tools, such as MagicDraw and Cameo. Strong understanding on the fundamentals of risk management, lifecycle planning, and milestone review planning. Ability to provide engineering context to both technical documentation and stakeholder discussions. Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience developing and delivering executive level briefings, well-honed interpersonal and negotiation skills, complex technical problem-solving skills, and customer relations skills. Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook) are required. Must be self-motivated, effective team players familiar with working in a dynamic work environment.
