In | | this role you will get to facilitate the modeling, simulation, and | | analyses of future concepts that shape the future of the Missile | | Defense System (MDS) and respond to Warfighter needs | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | What You'll Be Doing: | | | | | | | | - Facilitate the definition of future concepts for modeling, | | simulation, and analysis | | - Act as a subject matter expert in future concept definition, | | architecture analyses, and reviewing preliminary results prior to | | delivery to customer | | - Assess MDS threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs and
| opportunities, and develop potential system mitigations and | | capability revolutions and evolutions at the architecture level | | - Support modeling and simulation (MandS) efforts related to the | | above, including analysis efforts on DoD High Performance | | Computing (HPC) | | - Develop analysis plans, run MandS to execute the analysis plan, | | perform analysis on the results, prepare analysis reports, and | | provide reviews of analysis products | | | | | | | | Required Qualifications: | | | | | | | | - Master's Degree in STEM Field with 12+ years of experience in | | missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD | | program/project | | - Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a | | TS/SCI | | - Extensive experience in the modeling, assessment, and evaluation | | of future missile defense architectures | | - Deep understanding of the current MDS architecture and future | | concepts | | | | | | | | Desired Qualifications: | | | | | | | | - Active TS/SCI Clearance | | - Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and | | algorithms for the MandS of MDS architectures | | - Experience with MandS and analysis of MDS architectures involving | | both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future | | concepts | | - Ability to develop and use MDS architecture simulations; | | knowledge of MATLAB and/or Python is a plus, including HPC | | experience and/or MBSE experience | | - Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture | | design activities | | - Ability to perform technology assessment and analysis and provide | | insight on the utility of potentially useful technologies | | - Experience with multidisciplinary analysis and optimization | | environments, including analysis of diverse physical phenomena | | - Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, | | trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR | | sensing/signatures | | - Proven ability to coauthor numerous reports and provide | | significant contributions to MDS studies and responses to | | Congress | | - Experience with Cyber gaps, mitigations, and future Cyber | | Architecture development
