Job Title:Junior IT System Administrator FLSA:Exempt Clearance:Required Location:Huntsville, AL Job Type:Full time

NTA, Inc. is seeking an IT System Administrator with experience in Windows system administration and scripting to support research, development, and engineering activities at Redstone Arsenal. Duties will include the day-to-day management, support, and administration of 40 + Windows machines using a variety of Windows Operating Systems. Applicant responsible for installs and implementation of upgrades to Window servers / desktop / laptop hardware and software in support of systems and mission requirements. Applicant should be a team player, capable of implementing Government requirements, and able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities. Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of Associate degree; Bachelors degree preferred
  • 2-8 years of experience in Windows Administration

Required:

  • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems
  • Experience installing, updating, removing, and modifying software on a Windows Operating System
  • Experience troubleshooting common networking issues
  • Security+ Certification
  • Familiarity with Powershell commands
  • Familiarity configuring BIOS settings
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Desired:

  • Ability to meet minimum requirements of DOD 8570 IAT II certification (Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP)
  • Understanding of DISA STIG requirements and implementation of system hardening for DoD compliance
  • A+ and/or Network+ certification
  • Version control software experience (Git/Gitlab preferred)
  • Windows System Administration experience
  • Ability to write scripts Powershell scripts to automate tasks

Applicant must have a current security clearance or be able to obtain a security clearance through a Government security investigation. U.S. Citizenship is required.
