As a Journeyman Acquisition Support Specialist, you will:

  • Carry out pre-determined and recurring cradle-to-grave contract administration duties.

  • Conduct acquisition planning, solicitation preparation, market research/analysis, source selection, administration of terms and conditions, cost/price analysis, negotiation, and preparation of contract award and modifications.

  • Support the Government in the evaluation of contractor performance, contract termination, and contract closeout.

  • Provide expert advice, leadership, and oversight to agency personnel

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 to 8 years of experience

  • 4 years of work experience can substitute for education

  • Knowledge of techniques for researching solutions and organizing and collaborating with teams.

  • Strong organization and customer service skills.

  • Knowledge of and experience in the acquisition lifecycle, to include requirements development and/or procurement execution and contract administration.

  • Knowledge of the Federal, DoD, and Army acquisition regulation and policies.

  • Ability to address and resolve complex acquisition/contracting problems.

  • Current expertise in the acquisition and contracting processes involving weapon systems, services, supplies, and IT hardware, software, and services.
