Lockheed Martin Integrated Discrimination Product Team Lead - National Team Systems in Huntsville, Alabama

Description: WHAT WE'RE DOING

•Advancing the Integrated Discrimination and Electronic Protection capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS)

•Leading systems engineering trades, analysis, and studies related to requirements generation

•Developing and delivering MDS capabilities and engineering artifacts into the Technical Baseline (TBL)

•Supporting MDA’s Discrimination Directorate’s efforts to define and coordinate new capabilities

THE WORK

•Lead the Integrated Discrimination Team (IDT) Product Team (PT) within the MDA National Team – Systems (NT-S) program

•Provide technical oversight and integration of capabilities and designs into the Counter-Countermeasures and Discrimination (CM&D) domain

•Interface with MDA’s Directorate of Engineering (MDA/DE) and associated program offices

•Develop and refine MDS Technical Baseline documents and system level architecture(s)

•Review engineering products with Responsible Engineers (RE) as part of Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Technical Review Boards (TRB)

•Lead technical efforts, preparation of engineering products and briefings, including program and system level milestone reviews, CM&D Working Groups (WG), and monthly progress reviews

•Execute integrated project plans and prepare baseline change requests for new or emerging activities

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires previous leadership experience with systems engineering process/implementation, architecture and requirements development and analysis, concept and capability development, modeling and simulation, system engineering requirements and architecture databases/tools and specification/requirements documentation development.

Also, requires experience in project planning and scheduling. In general, a broad Systems Engineering background with strong coordination and communication along with vertical and horizontal integration skills are required. Experience in leading a systems engineering team in concepts development and analysis, feasibility and trade studies, modeling and simulation, architecture and requirements development and analysis and in collaboration and approval of engineering products through engineering reviews and engineering milestone events (e.g., System Requirements Review) is required. Understanding of system architecture development process and architecture products is required. The person must be a self-starter that works within a team to develop solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems. Also required are skills necessary to help resolve programmatic and technical problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance

Desired Skills:

System experience and versatility in several functional areas (i.e., MDS related sensors, weapons, battle management and command, control, communications) are desirable. Experience with MDS capability development, esp. discrimination and integrated discrimination, are highly desired. Familiarity with MDA stakeholder two and three letters organizations, and FFRDC and UERC support, as well as with Director level Knowledge Points and Knowledge Centers also desired. User knowledge of systems engineering applications, specifically MBSE is desired.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
