IronMountain Solutions, Inc. is seeking a HPM / RF Engineer (High Power Microwave / Radio Frequency Engineer). In your role you will Serve as an HPM/RF Engineer for the U.S. Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Indirect Fire Protection Capability - High Power Microwave (IFPC-HPM) in Huntsville, AL. The candidate shall provide analysis of technical data provided by vendor; insight into effects of HPM on other equipment; and recommendations to Government as the sole HPM subject matter expert on site.

Job Duties:

  • Perform critical analysis of technical data packages including but not limited to: SRR/SFR/PDR/CDR presentations, HPM acceptance test planning/results, HPM lethality analysis, and HPM risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide recommendation on emplacement of HPM system to maximize lethality while limiting impact to equipment.
  • Interface with Naval Surface Warfare Division-Dahlgren HPM SMEs to provide RCCTO leadership with recommendations on a wide range efforts being conducted.
  • Work with all stakeholders to gain approval to operate HPM system both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Perform all source analysis to acquire required technical specifications.
  • Provide Professional Engineering Advice, guidance and assistance in various stages of research, development and deployment.
  • Formulate/estimate technical parameters that are not available from all source analysis.
  • Support preparation of risk assessment reports, safety assessment reports, and technical data packages and presentation materials.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Education and General Experience:

  • Experience evaluating, coordinating, and risk mitigations with HPM/RF systems.
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Must be able to effectively work within a multi-disciplined team, including program management and technical/engineering personnel.
  • Experience with Directed Energy Weapon Initial Operational Employment Review and Approval Process (DEWRAP) process.
  • Experience with wide range of sensors (EO/IR, Radar, etc.).
  • Experience with non-kinetic effectors (Lasers, EW, etc.).
  • Day-to-Day work requires the development of detailed schedules and processes.
  • Understand system engineering processes.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
