The Building People Grade 4-Physical Security Engineer (TS Cleared) in Huntsville, Alabama

The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a full-time Grade 4 Physical Security Engineer, with an active Top Secret Clearance. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Perform all duties associated with Grade 3.

  • Lead security and/or safety awareness training for personnel.

  • Recommend actions to avoid conditions conducive to threats such as vandalism, terrorism, or theft.

  • Recommend resolutions to problems or conflicts between physical security requirements and organizational missions.

  • Integrate security considerations and systems as a function of construction and acquisition planning and execution. This includes protecting against security vulnerabilities that will exist during the development processes as well as those that will require preventive measures on completion of construction or delivery of systems and products.

Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Requires 8 to 10 years’ experience with a BS/BA in an engineering field related to the nature of the work described; or 6 to 8 years’ experience with MS/MA in an engineering field related to the nature of the work described; or 3 to 5 years’ experience with PhD in an engineering field related to the nature of the work described.

  • Intimate knowledge and work experience related to Interagency Security Criteria standards and requirements.

  • Knowledge and experience related to Construction Surveillance Technician operations.

  • Knowledge of Analytical Risk Management practices.

  • Knowledge of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles and implementation.

  • General knowledge of data/IT protection.

  • Knowledge of emergency response protocols and crisis processes for inclusion in an overall facility design.

  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Risk Management principles to include security measures applicable to transporting and shipping requirements.

  • Experience in layout of unclassified restricted, and classified spaces and the controls to limit access between areas.

  • Experience with protective guard forces, detection dogs, crime prevention programs, and communications.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the work and functions of a variety of organizations
