FTS/Range Safety Lead

Position Overview:

KODA Technologies seeks anFTS/Range Safety Leadto support the MDA Targets and Countermeasures Engineering Directorate. The selected candidate will provide assistance across the targets portfolio. You'll support flight termination system and range safety requirements development and verification, GFE and CFE hardware and software development, acceptance, qualification, integration, and checkout.

What you'll be doing:

• Perform requirements development and allocation and verification for targets flight termination system products, including autonomous flight termination systems and associated range safety requirements
• Provide GFE and CFE hardware and software development, acceptance, qualification, integration, and checkout.
• Participate in product and component failure investigations and review boards.
• Prepare reports documenting status, findings, and recommendations.
• Represent the interests of the customer in Working Groups and Technical Interchange Meetings
• Support component failure investigations and review boards.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree and 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program / project OR a BA/BS from an accredited institution of higher learning in a related field with 20+ years of experience in lieu of the MA/MS degree requirement
• Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems
• Must be able to provide daily supervision and direction to support teams
• Working knowledge of Missile Range Safety Requirements
• Familiarity with missile flight safety analysis and analysis products
• Proficiency in Range Tracking Systems (inertial measurement, GPS, C-band tracking)
• Proficiency with RCC-319 Flight Termination Commonality Standard and RCC-324 Global Positioning and Inertial Measurements Range Safety Tracking Systems Commonality Standard

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with autonomous flight termination systems
• Flight Test Range Safety experience
• 15 + years of experience in defense and aerospace
• Knowledge of the Missile Defense System and the MDA Targets and Countermeasures Program
• Background in batteries, RF systems, ordnance and ordnance devices, antennas.
• Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and have the individual flexibility to work on multiple actions simultaneously and resolve time-sensitive issues
• Strong communication skills with solid briefing ability
• Must have excellent, established computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, and Project
• Must be a pro-active, self-starter
