This position is an Electrical Hardware Design Engineering Intern in the Electrical Systems Department’s Hardware Design branch . Interns are provided with opportunities to participate in a wide range of design engineering activities that include concept development, architecting, implementing, and testing printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) including power supply, mixed-signal, FPGA, microcontroller designs. There are also additional skill development opportunities through participation in printed circuit board layout, signal integrity analysis, power distribution network design, technical trade studies, and evaluation of technology improvements.

The selected candidate will work closely with their assigned mentor on tasks that are beneficial to the intern's skills development and valuable to the programs with which they are working.

Basic Qualification

• Candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited college / university and working towards a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.

• Candidate must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Candidates must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area

Security Requirements:

Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
