Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Huntsville, Alabama

Description

We are in the process of recruiting a Desktop Support Analyst to join our operation in Huntsville, Alabama. The primary role of this position is to provide comprehensive technical support, including the configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of workstations, peripherals, and laptops. This role also involves user training, inventory management, and support for various software applications. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hardware & Device Support: Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, CNC machines, and other peripherals.

  • System Maintenance: Configure, maintain, and upgrade workstations and devices to meet organizational standards.

  • User Training: Train end-users on PC workstations, software applications, and networking environments.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain documentation of workstation and device inventories using change management tools.

  • Service Tracking: Utilize the ServiceNow Ticketing System to document and resolve support requests.

  • CMDB Management: Experience with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for maintaining and updating hardware and software records.

  • Software Support: Provide assistance with O365 tools (Outlook, Office Suite, OneDrive), mobile devices, and additional software as needed.

  • SharePoint Expertise: Experience with SharePoint is a huge plus.

  • Physical Navigation: Navigate a large shop floor environment daily, including stairs.

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of previous experience in a Desktop Support or similar role

  • Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Familiarity with O365 applications and mobile device support (Android & Apple).

  • Experience with ServiceNow and CMDB is essential.

  • SharePoint experience is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of CNC machine environments is a plus.

  • Ability to navigate large physical spaces efficiently.

  • Strong documentation and tracking skills using tools like ServiceNow
