Amentum Contracts Administrator in Huntsville, Alabama
The Contracts Administrator performs contracts responsibilities associated with proposal development and contract change proposals. Performs contract administration functions on new and existing contracts as assigned.
Performs basic contract negotiations to include direct interface with contracting officers.
Reviews and develops simple pricing models and cost strategies
Performs RFP analysis and develops risk assessments.
Initiates teaming agreements and non-disclosure agreements with new business/teaming partners.
Reviews contract documents and correspondence as part of the analysis of government solicitations.
Reviews and coordinate review and approval of contract modifications and contract change proposals with program and other COE personnel,
Monitors current status of assigned contracts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline and two (2) years’ experience in government contract administration OR High school diploma and six (6) years’ experience in government contract administration.
Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment
Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and related federal and state legislation and regulations.
Exhibits the ability to read and comprehend complex documents.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and people skills.
Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Generally, works in normal office environment, yet may be required to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, to austere environments, under harsh living conditions.
Some positions will be assigned to overseas locations where living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable, with long hours, exposure to weather, dust, and hazardous/harsh conditions.
