KBR is seeking a Billing Specialist with experience and background in government and commercial invoicing to join the KBR Shared Services Accounts Receivable (AR) Department as a Billing Specialist specifically supporting the Science & Space (S&S) Business Unit. S&S professionals support astronaut & DoD training, biomedical research, mission & satellite operations, aerospace software development and spacesuit development and sustainment. Additionally, they provide expertise to projects taking astronauts back to the moon, exploring deep space, and supporting the overall wellbeing of our warfighters and their families.

The billing team partners with project control analysts to complete the invoicing process for all contract types (Fixed Price, T&M, Cost Plus). The ideal candidate is deadline driven, detail oriented and self-motivated, a critical thinker, and has advanced written and verbal communication skills.

The ideal candidate will be located in the Huntsville or surrounding area in order to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Calculate, analyze, & submit accurate and timely invoices for multiple contract types and submit invoices electronically using multiple customer systems.

• Partner cross functionally to collect cash while providing excellent customer service to optimize cash flow

• Coordinate with other departments to meet deadlines

• Interface with internal/external customers, and government pay offices

• Solve problems of various complexity following established policies, practices and procedures

• Provide assistance as required to the entire AR team

• Other responsibilities as needed and assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2 + years of related experience

• Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and specifically Excel

• Ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities as the needs of the company change and grow

• Must be willing to work overtime as needed to cover department responsibilities

• Ability to concisely communicate orally, in writing and electronically

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Deltek Costpoint

• Previous work in the Federal Government Contracting environment
