Description We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves assisting in the management and preparation of our financial statements, playing a pivotal role in external reporting, SOX compliance, technical accounting, general ledger management, and corporate operational reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all financial reporting is in compliance with SEC, GAAP, and IFRS rules and regulations.

• Assisting in the coordination and management of consolidated and standalone financial statements for internal and external reporting.

• Conducting technical accounting research and interpreting complex business arrangements.

• Providing valuable financial reporting, analysis, and recommendations to support the executive management and the board.

• Overseeing the general ledger and financial reporting.

• Collaborating with external auditors to define audit and SOX review scope and requirements.

• Participating in the development and planning of the annual budget and strategic planning requirements.

• Actively managing and protecting the company’s financial and capital assets.

• Leading and developing a strong accounting staff.

• Handling other projects and assignments as needed to meet the changing needs of the department and the company. Requirements • Applicants must be well-versed in SEC filings and SEC Financial Reporting.

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is requisite.

• Knowledge of External Reporting Requirements and External Reporting is essential.

• Candidates should be capable of Financial Statement Preparation and Analyzing Financial Statements.

• Proficiency in GAAP Accounting is required.

• Experience with Form 10-Q and Form 10-K is expected.

• Potential hires must be comfortable working with the General Ledger.

• Familiarity with IFRS Accounting and IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Stds is beneficial.

• CPA certification is highly desirable.

• Proficiency in SAP software is a must.
