Mick George Environmental Asbestos Operative in Huntingdon, United Kingdom

Here at the Mick George Group we are looking for a Asbestos Operative to join the team.

Job Overview:

To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of asbestos management and removal projects

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake asbestos removal works in compliance with relevant Legislation/Regulations, MGE Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and to the required health and safety standards

  • Ensure that all plant and materials are maintained and utilised to ensure safe working practices

  • Ensure full understanding of Method Statement and Risk Assessment prior to works commencing and ensure all controls are in place

  • Undertake all site works in liaison with site Supervisor, other site staff and Client to ensure all works proceed to programme and budget and to Clients satisfaction

  • Complete all required site checks, record on appropriate forms in conjunction with site Supervisor

  • Undertake all daily checks on site as required

  • Undertake TNA analysis on Supervisor on a project by project basis

  • Participate in wider objectives of the company

    Qualifications/Experience:

  • Demonstrable successful experience of working in a similar role (Qualified Licenced Asbestos Operative)

  • Committed to providing first rate customer service

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety

  • The written communication skills to complete all site paperwork to a high standard

  • Honest & reliable

  • Ability to undertake work as instructed by site Supervisor amidst challenging demands on time

  • Working additional hours as required, by the needs of the business.
