CIVIL ENGINEERING - HUNTINGBURG, IN

We are actively hiring for a Civil Engineer with a Water/Wastewater team in Huntingburg, IN! This position is open due to the amount of growth this team is continuing to experience across the state of Indiana. This local Huntingburg team is a newer office that will continue to grow in the years to come, so this is an exciting opportunity for candidates with minimal experience to join the organization and play an integral role in the vision. This team is heavily focused on the growth and development of their people, and separate out the Engineering and Design Departments to create specific Career Paths for all individuals.

PROJECT DETAILS

• These positions are with a Civil Engineering Consulting Firm that specializes in Water and Wastewater Treatment Design.

• This team works with a variety of different Cities, Towns, and Communities across Indiana. All of these projects are for Municipal Clients and are either Rehabilitation Projects or New Construction Projects.

• They primarily design Facilities, Plants, and Pipe Networks for Water Distribution Systems and Wastewater Collection Systems.

• This firm also does a small amount of Road Design projects for their clients, and has a specified Transportation Team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in a Project Team to help Communities and Industries solve their most challenging Water/Wastewater Infrastructure Problems.

• Perform Assignments requiring application of Standard Techniques, Procedures, and Criteria to carry out Engineering tasks.

• Perform Sub-professional Engineering tasks: Fieldwork, Inspections, Engineering Reports, Permits, and simple Design Calculations.

• Coordinate with Contractors, Review Construction Drawings and Specifications, and Contact Government Officials for Permits.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, with a 3.2+ GPA

• Strong interest in Water/Wastewater, Stormwater, and/or Transportation Engineering

• Professional Demeanor and Communication with a Eagerness to Learn and Grow

• Preferred Experience - Fundamental of Engineering Exam Certification

• Preferred Experience - Professional Experience in Civil Engineering

• Preferred Experience - Master's Degree in relevant discipline

COMPENSATION

• Entry-Level Civil Engineer with no FE = $72,000

• Entry-Level Civil Engineer with FE = $74,000

• Experienced Civil Engineer = $72,000-$85,000

• Candidates will receive 9 Paid Holidays and 2 Weeks of PTO to start.

• Candidates are eligible for Annual Performance Raises; Annual Bonuses; Profit Sharing; and Matching 401(k) program.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Standard hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates may choose to work a flexible schedule instead, where they may start as early as 7am (and leave early) or as late as 9am (and stay later). Candidates may also choose to work 9-hour days Monday through Thursday, with a 4-hour day on Friday.

• Some overtime hours will be required. Person will get Straight Time pay for overtime hours worked after 40 hours in a given week.

• This person will have a mix of working in both the office and in the field, which is a good mix of experience to start a career.

• This person will get to complete design work while being taught by some of Indiana's top engineers.

• This person will get to directly interact with clients while complete project tasks.

• This person will be assigned a mentor while professionally growing his/her career.
