What you’ll do as a Power Foreman
You will oversee lower classifications by coordinating and assigning tasks, monitoring work, training and mentoring.
You will monitor safety and productivity of crewmembers.
You will conduct safety tailgate meetings with crew and completing required paperwork.
You will be responsible for construction, installation, maintenance and replacement of poles, anchors, crossarms, pins, cut-outs, and other Overhead pole components.
You will be responsible for installation, maintenance and replacement of transformers, reclosers, capacitors, regulators, step-downs and other Overhead pole equipment.
You will inspect lines, poles and equipment for signs of damage or wear.
You will carry poles, dig holes, frame and guy poles and perform other operations involved in the setting or replacing of poles.
You will troubleshoot electrical problems and perform emergency repairs on distribution circuits.
You will set up and operate wire tensioners, rope rigs, and other wire stringing equipment.
You will be responsible for efficient and proper use of all tools, materials, and equipment.
You will operate, inspect, and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavation equipment, and other equipment.
You will read and interpret site plans, construction drawings, schedules, and scopes of work.
What you’ll need
You are18 years of age or older
You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
You have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
You have the willingness to work in a solo and team environment
You have experience in working through all types of weather, including inclement weather
You are a self starter
You have effective communication skills
You are able to travel and work extended hours; overtime and weekends as needed
You have 5+ year's of experience in power construction
You have the ability to lift and/or pull up to 25lbs
