Insta-Cash Pawn Store Manager in Hughes Springs, Texas

As a member of our Management Team, you will be responsible for all Pawnbroker tasks including writing pawn loans, processing buys, sales to retail customers and providing great customer service.  Additionally, the Management Team is also responsible for supervising employees, assigning employees to specific tasks, taking inventories, training, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records and/or preparing daily paperwork.  The Management Team ensures compliance of employees.  

General duties and responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with all customers to determine their individual needs and recommend appropriate financial solutions

  • Perform open/close procedures

  • Keep sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain display of merchandise

  • Perform sales and loan transactions

  • Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of the pawn and buy transactions

  • Oversee all activities and responsibilities performed by Pawnbrokers on assigned shifts

  • Protect company against loss

  • Assist in pricing of hard goods, as requested

  • Assist with audits, as requested

  • Consistently exhibit accountability and leadership skills 

  • Customer service

  • Answer general questions from Pawnbroker(s)

  • Other duties as assigned by senior management 

  • Superior organizational skills and people skills

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Cash handling experience

  • 1 year customer service experience required

  • 1 year retail sales experience required

  • 1 year management preferred

  • Computer literate

  • Outgoing and energetic personality

  • Ability to multi-task 

  • Must meet all eligibility requirements for a Pawnbroker License in the State of Texas 

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Continuous standing required

  • Frequent walking, reaching, bending

  • Occasional climbing 

  • Must pass drug test
