Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative, based in Huger, South Carolina. The role involves processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary backup for any of the Inside Sales staff positions

• Handle customer accounts and manage relevant aspects of the commercial team

• Coordinate with the inside sales, outside sales, production, shipping, and finance teams to serve our customers in the flat rolled industry

• Enter and manage accurate orders, and proactively solve any arising issues

• Work with the scheduler to manage production efficiently

• Maintain effective communication between the customer and operations, shipping, credit, and metallurgy teams

• Answer inbound calls and provide excellent customer service

• Perform data entry tasks and maintain customer records

• Handle both inbound and outbound calls with professionalism

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for various tasks

• Schedule appointments and meetings as necessary.

Requirements • Proven experience in a Customer Service Representative role, preferably within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel

• Demonstrable experience with data entry and order entry

• Proficiency in handling inbound and outbound calls

• Experience in a call center environment, particularly in customer service

• Excellent email correspondence skills

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a customer-centric approach

• Must be able to handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail

• Availability to work various shifts or overtime as needed.
