Mercury Systems Manufacturing Engineer in Hudson, New Hampshire

Job Summary: You will be a part of a dynamic existing Technical Engineering team that supports exciting and next generation module and system products. Job responsibilities: · Develops manufacturing processes based on product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. · Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. · Support quality or safety initiatives with process improvements; maintains product and safety standards by complying with relevant regulations. · Develops assembly documentation and fixtures for systems and module products based on engineering drawings. · Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. · Programming of automated manufacturing equipment · Support prototype and NPI builds. · Must possess knowledge of electronic and mechanical components and package designs utilized in surface mount, through-hole and box build technologies. · Assist in device failure validation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. · Assist production to meet daily production goals. · Provides technical support in troubleshooting, debugging, and repairing machines to ensure that production is running at maximum capacity with minimal downtime. · Define BOM structure and maintenance of BOMs. · Evaluates and implements new equipment as assigned. · Analyze production efficiency data, interpret results, and direct improvement initiatives. · Analyze quality data, interpret results, and direct improvement initiatives. · Perform DFM reviews. · Create ECNs as required. · Create operational procedures as required. · Create product specific work instructions as required. · Train manufacturing equipment operators as required. Required Qualifications · Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, industrial, or material science engineering. Or combination of education and work experience in a related Engineering discipline. · 2 - 5 Years experience in a manufacturing engineering role · Background with SMT and PCBA manufacturing · Background in PCBA and mechanical manufacturing · Experience with mechanical assembly · Expertise in developing and documenting manufacturing process steps · Excellent team skills required. · Excellent organization and documentation skills · Working knowledge of six sigma and lean manufacturing methodology is a plus. · Excellent understanding of electronic manufacturing processes · Proficient with PC's and Microsoft Office · Ability to multitask/manage workload efficiently.
