We are seeking a Precision Guidance Systems Integration, Verification, and Validation Systems Engineer to support one of the most technically challenging programs in our portfolio. Candidates for this position will be expected to be able to work in a dynamic and time sensitive environment where schedules and technical depth come together to show a very unique capability for guided munitions.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.

  • Supports the development of verifiable requirements and compliance matrix files for both systems engineering and hardware/software engineering requirements.

  • Generate overall system test strategies, along with associated documentation to include system verification plans and procedures.

  • Ensure that appropriate facilities and test equipment needed for system level testing are planned and made available at the appropriate scheduled time.

  • Support activities associated with creating, managing automated testing with regard to precision munitions.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Active Secret clearance required

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required as the position will require regular briefings and narrative reports to senior engineering leadership within the program portfolio.

  • Also requires skills in modeling, design and test for active and passive IR seeker/ sensor systems

  • Experience with Product Integration and Test

  • Experience with System Verification and Validation

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with lab test equipment (power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes)

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and other engineering disciplines

  • Must have experience as a systems engineer or test design role in other engineering disciplines

  • Must be self-motivated and be attentive to detail

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Test execution and the ability to work across functional engineering disciplines will only serve to enhance success in this most key position within our precision guidance portfolio of programs.

  • Experience with Field or Flight testing

  • Production Test support experience

  • Ability to track progress on team tasks and report progress to program team

  • Exposure to Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)

  • Exposure to Model Based Systems Engineering

  • MS Systems Engineering

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
