BAE Systems Senior Contract Administrator in Hudson, New Hampshire

As a senior Contract Administrator, you will work with customers to shape and close business opportunities aligned with internal objectives. Work products and interactions will be at multiple levels, from your program office team to executive leadership. The selected candidate will coordinate, negotiate and manage proposals and customer contracts under minimal supervision. Knowledge of business agreements, government and commercial contracting methods, along with necessary leadership skills, is needed to support proposal, fact-finding, negotiation, and related activities. Candidate should have demonstrate skills in contracting strategy, presentation experience, and ability to develop and maintain professional and dependable relationships with customers.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Working understanding of the USG acquisition process, contracts function, commercial contracting methods, export requirements, FAR/DFAR and other regulations.

  • Lead and support proposal activities including analyzing solicitations, preparing summaries, developing strategies and recommendations, preparing terms and conditions, reviewing proposals for accuracy and preparing the proposal documents for submittal to customer. Coordinate with other company functions and ensure appropriate reviews are scheduled and approved by management.

  • Make recommendations on proposal and contract language. Ensure coordination and other functional inputs are reflected in terms of offer.

  • Lead contract negotiations and collaborate with customers.

  • Perform all aspects of contract lifecycle processing with necessary accuracy of order entry data, and necessary focus on contract funding, scope changes, contract amendments, delivery, legal requirements, etc.

  • Prepare various Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding/Agreement, etc.

  • Lead or support fact-finding and other audits.

  • Act as primary point of contact between the company and the customer for all contractual matters.

  • Gain specialized knowledge in areas such as Int'l contracting, commercial contracting, joint ventures, and intellectual property.

  • Ensure proper interpretation of the contract(s).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Strong computer skills for data entry, reports and other documents

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing

  • Sound interpersonal skills to engage in negotiations with others to achieve business objectives

  • Make business decisions using sound judgement while complying with policies, procedures, and applicable federal laws and regulations

  • Demonstrated ability to focus on closure and get results

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated & highly organized

  • A familiarity with FAR/DFAR selling to USG and commercial Prime Contractors

  • NCMA membership or other certification / credentials

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
