Logitech Global Sourcing Manager - Mechanics/Tooling in Hsinchu, Taiwan

Job Overview:

As a Sourcing Manager for Mechanical Engineering and Color, Material, Finish (CMF), you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of components and materials necessary for Logitech's product development initiatives. You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the supply chain to meet Logitech's quality and design standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Identification and Selection: Identify and qualify suppliers capable of providing mechanical components, materials, and finishes that meet Logitech's specifications and quality standards. Conduct thorough supplier evaluations to assess capabilities, capacity, and reliability.

  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and drive continuous improvement.

  • Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing, to optimize the supply chain and ensure seamless integration of ME and CMF components into Logitech's product development process. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with Logitech's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing practices. Implement quality assurance measures and processes to minimize defects and ensure product reliability.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supply shortages, price fluctuations, and geopolitical factors, to minimize disruptions to production schedules and mitigate financial impact.

  • Supplier Performance Management: Monitor supplier performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, quality metrics, and cost savings initiatives. Implement corrective actions as needed to address performance issues and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on mechanical components and/or CMF materials.

  • Demonstrated expertise in supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and contract management.

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.

  • Familiarity with Color, Material, Finish (CMF) selection and design principles preferred.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with supply chain management software/tools.
