How You’ll Make an Impact

• Unless otherwise specified in contractual documents or engineering drawings, qualification of pipe WPSs and welding personnel shall conform to ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code. (GTAW P8 6G – must pass test)

• Maintain certifications for welding skills.

• Review, Interpret complex Assembly instructions, specs and blueprints.

• Inventory, clean and visually inspect all components and stage all equipment needed for assembly and safely offload incoming parts off transport using proper lifting/ rigging equipment and technical questions.

• Perform fitting of structural components using tools and required methods for the assembly of SGT 100-400 and A-35/A-65 Siemens-Energy Gas Turbine and compressor packaging.

• Notify management/engineering of issues and deviations from print and regularly carry out and document simple maintenance and cleaning work according to the specifications or maintenance plan. Carry out minor repair within the scope of the available expertise. Use micrometer and indicators to measure tolerances to +/-0.001”, hand tools, air grinders and overhead lifting devices.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED

• 5+ years relevant experience in Assembly of Rotating Equipment Manufacturing preferred.

• Generally, five or more years related experience in shop environment preferred. Experience and training in welding and cutting tools and processes. Experience doing gas turbine mechanical work and gas turbine overhaul work preferred. Preference given to applicants with specific expert knowledge of Siemens Energy Turbomachinery rotating equipment assembly (particularly RF and Datum range of turbo-compressors) including development and interpretation of technical assembly instructions, build methods and sequencing of core compressor internals and auxiliaries.

• Inspects repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains all mechanical components, assemblies on gas turbines and compressor associated packages.

• Work and communicate with Engineering, QC, Material Control, and other crafts in production.

• 15% travel
