Superior is currently seeking a Sustainability Reporting Analyst to join our team in Houston, TX (Downtown) (On-Site 5 days).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish the annual sustainability update cycle, by collaborating with key stakeholders to establish repeatable processes that ensures the accurate collection and validation of relevant qualitative and quantitative data, aligned with internal performance tracking and external reporting frameworks

  • Lead corporate sustainability and climate reporting processes, guiding from gap analysis through implementation, in accordance with frameworks and standards such as CSRD, US state climate disclosure regulations and TCFD

  • Coordinate global sustainability data collection and consolidation across business units and functions to ensure regulatory-compliant reporting outputs in collaboration with key functional groups and external assurance providers, where relevant

  • Coordinate responses to external sustainability assessments (e.g. EcoVadis) and oversee transparency and traceability requests from customers and value chain partners on ESG matters to ensure accuracy and consistency in our response in partnership with Sales, Legal, Communications and Sustainability Experts

  • Stay informed on sustainability reporting best practices, follow trends in ESG disclosure and regulations, adjust to evolving stakeholder expectations and develop recommendations for action

  • Support ESG Reporting Tool Implementation and other related platforms

  • Special projects; other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Technical Skills:

  • Understanding of GAAP, PCAOB/AICPA Compliance Standard, Sarbanes Oxley, COSO, IT audit concepts, and leading business practices

  • Knowledge of financial reporting (HGB/IFRS/US-GAAP) and on current Sustainability Auditing and Accounting Standards (e.g. COSO Internal Control Framework for Sustainability Reporting (ICSR) and IAASB’s Sustainability Assurance Standard (ISSA 5000)

  • Familiar with ESG accounting software Workiva preferred

Required Qualification:

  • Exceptional project management experience, attention to detail and an ability to manage work with competing priorities

  • Familiar with sustainability disclosure standards and frameworks, such as Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), ISSB IFRS S1/S2, TCFD, CDP, SDGs, GRI, etc.

  • Passionate about sustainability and commercial savvy committed to achieving outcomes that benefit both the environment and the business

  • Demonstrated ability to challenge multiple data sources for quality, accuracy and consistency

  • Proven ability to coordinate and integrate work products with input from teams across an organization, balancing diverse perspectives and priorities, and motivating others

  • Ability to travel 20%

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in environmental science or sustainability, economics, business, finance, or accounting. Minimum 3 years’ experience with sustainability reporting
