Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in Houston, Texas for a Staff Accountant for our oil and gas client. This role is integral to our finance team and involves managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, general ledger tasks, and month-end close duties. The successful candidate will be adept at using various software, including NetSuite.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the processing of customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records

• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions

• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries

• Execute month-end close procedures

• Utilize NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform accounting tasks.

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger

• Ability to prepare Journal Entries

• Knowledge of Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with software systems including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
