Summary
The Sr. Manager of Corporate FP&A will be a key team member in leading the company’s long-range planning and annual operating planning cycle, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, financial analyses, business intelligence, management reporting, SG&A expense management, as well as, defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Sr. Manager of Corporate FP&A will possess competency in the following areas in order to perform his/her role in a safe, productive, and effective manner. Reviews and oversees long-term planning, annual budgeting cycles, and business analysis, while providing financial support for strategic initiatives
Participates in the development, management, and approval of forecasts, budgets, monthly performance reviews, and periodic business reviews
Engages in designing and implementing financial planning systems, modeling scenarios, and developing processes and dashboards
Assists in creating effective performance metrics to drive accountability and ownership within the organization
Assists in and coordinates ad hoc requests and analyses
Assists in the preparation of financial analysis, commentary and presentation materials for executives, board meetings, and other third parties
Provides support to the senior management team with respect to strategic / financial decisions through timely and accurate analyses
Participates in advising and setting financial targets to divisional operation management
Participates in challenging divisions on setting / achieving the financial targets
Assists finance personnel in adopting best practices
Ensures consistent assumptions used in business metrics and KPIs
Assists in structuring, managing and coordinating complex cross-company projects with key stakeholders
Partners with functional department leadership to define, implement and report operational performance metrics that assist operations to achieve objectives
Supports Teams (e.g. IT, HR, Engineering etc.) to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
Educates co-workers on financial metrics, key business drivers, and the financial impact of activities and decisions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with 8 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance management, within Finance, Manufacturing, Construction, or a relevant strategy/management consulting environment
MBA, CPA, or CFA, preferred
Experience with financial planning and reporting at corporate and plant level, financial modeling and analysis, and capital budgeting
Strong proficiency with Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with performance management dashboards and development of KPIs
Possesses exceptional analytical and financial analysis skills
Possesses superior analytical and problem- solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor as well as experience resolving complex problems with well-structured analysis
Travel occasionally required to job sites.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret accounting technical pronouncements, business-related periodicals, journals, and government regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Ability to communicate in both written and oral form complex financial concepts and data
Ability to prescribe, develop, and provide training on procedures for both existing and new processes
Knowledgeable in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), with a focus on their application to construction contractors
Ability to calculate mathematical figures such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to prepare accounting and financial analyses which may include, among other things, detailed cost projections, forecasts, financial models based on various scenarios, etc.
Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats in a clear and concise manner to senior management groups of managers, clients, customers, and co-workers
Ability to work with all levels of co-workers in a team environment
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with key focus and attention to detail
Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to identify, perform assessment of and develop mitigation strategies to address financial risks on the Company’s significant projects
