Job Description

  1. Generate accurate and timely project-based mechanical and plumbing estimates using FastPipe and FastDuct software.

  2. Develop Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire-Protection (FP) estimates for commercial, industrial, hi-tech and data center projects.

  3. Provide change order management services to high-tech clients for Mechanical, plumbing and FP trades.

  4. Review mechanical, plumbing and FP bid packages to ensure completeness with plans and scope and provide necessary recommendations to identify areas to save costs

  5. Perform detailed takeoffs of mechanical, plumbing and fire protection drawings and generate estimates at conceptual, programming, and detailed stages of estimation.

  6. Implement benchmarking of data for MEP trades based on ongoing and past project data for accurate estimation and risk management.

  7. Provide cost input for value engineering efforts of MEP trades.

  8. Ensure team meets client expectations. Assist Commission Manager in maintaining service levels and meeting commission objectives.

  9. Establish key information requirements with design teams to support development of estimates.

  10. Provide input to the development of the contracting plan for large projects

  11. Interface collaboratively with internal and external clients, stakeholders, at all project stages.

  12. Maintain working knowledge of construction market conditions throughout North America, including new and updated official published data.

  13. Lead a team responsible for project cost, schedule, and controls, assign work, assure quality deliverables, provide management oversight, and resolve issues.

  14. Maintain existing client relationship and identify opportunities to develop new business.

Estimator or any other job title performing the following job duties:

SALARY RANGE: $95,000 to $145,000/year

JOB TIME : Full Time

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 4 years of experience in job offered or 4 years of experience in the Related Occupation
