Description Our client is in search of a diligent Sr. Accountant to join a growing company in Houston, Texas. The chosen candidate will help assist the Senior Accounting Manager with various accounting functions including month end close and more. This role falls within a dynamic industry and offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Senior Accounting Manager with various accounting tasks Handle month end close procedures promptly and accurately Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and guidelines Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest financial practices and regulations Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial reports Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and procedures Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting Relevant professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred Previous experience in public accounting, strongly preferred Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
