Staff Force Inc Shop Supervisor / CNC Foreman in Houston, Texas

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Foreman/Shop Supervisor with extensive experience in leading a machine shop. This position requires a professional with10+years of machining experience, including at least5years as a CNC machinist. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Hurco and Mazak machines, experience with CNC lathe and mill operations, and proficiency in manual lathes. The CNC Foreman/Shop Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality control, training junior staff, and maintaining customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead daily operations of the machine shop.
  • Operate CNC Milling and Machining equipment 20-30% of the time.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior machinists.
  • Ensure high-quality control of all machine work.
  • Communicate with customers and address their needs, providing updates and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Answer emails and customer inquiries within 4 hours.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient shop environment.
  • Manage workflow and production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Use computer systems for job tracking, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Occasional involvement in welding operations is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a machine shop environment, with at least

    • 5 years working on CNC lathes and mills.
  • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a CNC machine shop.

  • Expertise in Hurco and Mazak machines is required.

  • Proficiency with manual lathes.

  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and ability to inspect machining work.

  • Familiarity with Winmax software.

  • Experience in CNC milling, customer-facing roles, and handling shop operations.

  • Computer literacy and proficiency with shop management software.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.

  • Welding experience is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Customer service experience with excellent problem-solving skills.

Workweek Details:

6:00AM-4:30PM,Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays.
