Description We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team remotely. This role is in the Construction/Contractor industry and is based in Houston, Texas. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for breaking down existing monolithic applications into microservices, consulting with product managers to define new features, and coaching fellow software developers.

Responsibilities:

• Break down existing applications into microservices

• Provide input on architecture, databases, and APIs

• Collaborate with product managers to define, scope, and plan new features

• Set standards for microservices based architectural decisions

• Test and evaluate technologies to improve overall solutions

• Develop and build microservices leveraging AWS Cloud Services

• Work with the QA team to ensure the production of cohesive, quality, usable solutions

• Coach, encourage, and mentor fellow software developers

• Design and implement full stack solutions using a Node.js stack

• Take responsibility for the quality of your own code by conducting unit tests Requirements • Proficiency in Android Development, with a focus on creating efficient and user-friendly applications

• Expertise in Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking

• Solid background in Backend Development, including server-side logic and databases

• Familiarity with Bug Tracking systems to identify, track and resolve technical issues

• Strong knowledge of C++ programming language to develop high-performance applications

• Experience in AB Testing to optimize application performance and user experience

• Understanding of Agile Scrum methodology for efficient project management

• Proficiency in API Development, including RESTful APIs

• Strong skills in CSS for creating visually appealing and responsive user interfaces

• Experience in Defect Management to ensure the quality and reliability of software
