    The Sr SCADA / Project lead member serves as a leading member of the SCADA team, by steering discussion, leading projects and be the subject matter expert on fit for purpose design, solutions and implementations of our SCADA environments. The lead will be engaged in leveraging today’s AI and ML technologies in conjunction with existing SCADA platforms. The lead will have profound and extensive experience in administration, management, growth, standards, writing and supporting standard operating procedure, and SCADA cyber security mindfulness. The position will provide direct guidance and leadership to all SCADA members, customers, supporting departments, as well as external resources.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME on SCADA initiatives from new technologies, standardization, interfaces, reports, data capturing, analytics and automation of processes.

  • Lead projects activities which include planning, design, development, resourcing, reporting, to completion of projects: acquisitions, expansions, and other highly value-added projects.

  • The SCADA team will be responsible for supporting new acquisitions and as well as multiple capital projects and backlog efforts. The selected candidate will have demonstrated technical, customer service and management skills and be able to work with personnel from all levels of the organization.

  • Proactively research and explore new and emerging technologies and best practices.

  • Facilitate the organization needs around ESG capturing and reporting, downtime, and all items allocation related.

  • Develop and support alarming tools and visual aids for field personnel.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to supporting members of the organization.

  • Work with field technicians, other analyst, and engineers to analyze problem related and develop design solutions.

  • Familiarity with electronic meters, RTU, PLC and various remote monitoring devices.

  • Familiarity with communication protocols, radios, and networking.

  • Strong customer service, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience acting as a technical manager.

  • Experience building technical teams.

  • Managing budget and record keeping.

  • Ability to communicate both written and verbal.

  • Travel will vary, expect up to 25% depending on business needs.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology or related field or study, will consider a combination of experience and/or education.

  • 10+ years of experience in technical SCADA role and with advanced knowledge of commonly used SCADA software and technologies (Cygnet, Ignition, XSPOC, kepware, SQL, software development) and to include approximately 3 years leading teams (internal or contract external) in the execution of large-scale, high visibility, value added large-scale projects.

  • Applicable knowledge of edge, MQTT protocols, Iiot, VM server and cloud-based infrastructures.

  • Ability to be a collaborative team member of the organization.

  • Must be able to identify and perform duties as needed w/o direct leadership or guidance.

  • Programing skills: vb, sql, python, java, database administration, .net, power bi, and other related programming skills.

  • Protocol knowledge: Modbus, Allen Bradley (Micro and control logic), ABB, Emerson ROC, and MQTT.

  • Cloud based (Azure or AWS) and with some on premises architectural design.

  • Familiar with traditional metering regarding EFM capturing (FMS or other) of gas and liquid meters. Tank volume and other environmental component safety and reporting capturing.
