We are recruiting a Senior Leader in our Water market initiatives in Texas. The right individual will have the opportunity to become part of a timely and critical solutions-based practice that addresses many of the significant water challenges in the area. These include water supply, service delivery, and funding. In addition, with partnerships, the Technology solutions we can bring to our clients have grown exponentially. This individual will work with Senior Leadership to develop a robust presence in the Texas Water Market.

We need an individual who can work with the current team to expand and execute these service offerings to include such programs as Owners Representation on projects ranging from Regionalization, P3 initiatives, and utility governance strategies and funding. Also, this position will be at the forefront in extending our reputation and presence in Texas as a major technical resource and provider for communities statewide that are pursuing innovative funding solutions with traditional and federal dollars.

This position will grow into a statewide leadership role in shaping how far and fast we will become a significant resource in the water market in Texas.

The skills and background are outlined below:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a senior position helping clients address project delivery challenges in water/wastewater projects.
  • Advanced degree in either engineering, management, finance, or equivalent degree.
  • Knowledge of Capital Planning and Finance.
  • Familiarity with operational issues.
  • Experience in helping local governments develop long-range operational and finance plans.
  • Experience with the TCEQ, PUC, and TWDB.
  • The ability to speak in public and before boards and commissions.
  • English and Spanish proficiency would be a plus.

This blend of expertise will be demonstrated by someone in a position requiring them to wear many hats to carry out a job successfully. The candidate may have an engineering, operational, utility, or city manager background. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage employees, clients, and projects at the highest level.
