Honeywell Senior Production Planning Manager in Houston, Texas

As a Senior Production Planning Manager here at Honeywell Industrial Automation, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the production planning process to ensure efficient and timely delivery of products. You will lead a team of production planners and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production schedules with customer demand and business objectives. Your role will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, reducing costs, and maximizing customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our Director of Supply Planning and work out of our Houston, Texas location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will have a significant impact on our manufacturing operations and overall business success. You will play a key role in developing and implementing production plans, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers. Your ability to analyze data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements will be critical in driving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of site planning managers to meet organizational objectives including: OTTR, OTFP, MPS load, MRP Audit compliance and inventory targets. Coach and mentor the team to ensure effective succession planning.

  • Lead the implementation of Rapid Response production planning and ensure best practice planning processes across sites and networks.

  • Ensure material master data is accurate, meets corporate standards, and cost and service levels of the business.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, demand planning, materials execution, and manufacturing, to ensure smooth production processes.

  • Hand over an achievable schedule to the materials execution team.

  • Analyze data and identify areas for improvement to drive supply chain efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in production planning processes.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in production planning to drive continuous improvement.

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • 10 years of experience in production planning or related roles.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in SAP Production Planning modules with Rapid Response experience an added bonus.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
