MD Anderson Cancer Center Senior Electronic Technician in Houston, Texas

SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the Senior Electronic Technician position is to install, repair, program and maintain the card access, closed circuit television, and other electronic security systems. Provides training and guidance to electronic technicians

KEY FUNCTIONS

Installations Completes work orders related to the maintenance of electronic security systems. Installs access control, CCTV and other security related devices.

Training and Guidance Provides training and guidance to electronic technicians.

Preventive and Security Assists in overall system preventive maintenance and documentation. Assists UTPD project managers with on-going security related projects.

Other Duties as Assigned Other duties to include, but not limited to, emergency recall and/or may be required to remain onsite or work extended hours during man-made or natural disasters and unusual occurrences on campus. Local or long distance travel may be required for training or other business purposes occasionally.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by approved courses in electronics.

Experience Required: Three years of journey level experience in the installation, maintenance, repair and operation of modern electronic equipment.
