Description Robert Half currently has a permanent opportunity for an experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing team. In this role, the Staff Accountant is in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting throughout the monthly close. You will put your skills towards the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very complex as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Major responsibilities

• Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

• Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliation

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting

• In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail

• General ledger experience preferred

• Proficiency in SAP

• Month end closings experience

• Account reconciliation experience preferred

• Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• 1+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Knowledgeable of ERP systems

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
