USI Insurance Services Senior Account Executive/Team Lead in Houston, Texas

General Description: Manage 10 to 20 large and complex Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact. May occasionally work in concert with an Account Manager on the largest and most complex accounts. Activities include new and renewal marketing, fielding questions and requests and coverage review. Assist Sales Executives team and provide guidance to Account Representatives and/or Account Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive, personalized support toassigned high-touch, most-complex Commercial Lines clients.

  • Provide strong insurance technical expertise toclients and members of the Account Management and Sales Executive team.

  • Responsible for marketing and placement ofclient Commercial Lines insurance renewals.

  • Withassistance from Account Representatives, prepare client applications forreview.

  • Determinemost-appropriate carriers for market pricing.

  • Analyzeand compare carrier quotes and coverage offerings.

  • Makeinsurance program recommendations to clients.

  • Manage client renewal expirations and avoid anylapse in coverage.

  • Complex negotiation with carriers on behalf ofclients.

  • Process policies, endorsements and audits asneeded.

  • Champion client cross-selling initiatives anddevelop customer accounts.

  • Represent client interests in internal USIaccount strategy meetings.

  • Delegate administrative client tasks to assignedAccount Representatives.

  • Provide account oversight and guidance whenacting as a third-layer of account management on largest, most complexaccounts.

  • Respond to underwriters’ questions in a timelyand professional manner.

  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agencymanagement systems.

  • Frequent in-person attendance at face-to-faceclient meetings, with and without Sales Executives.

  • Regular carrier interaction and frequentface-to-face meetings with underwriters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 15+ years experience in a Commercial Linesagency. College degree preferred.

  • Expert understanding of Property & Casualtyinsurance.

  • Must hold a Property & Casualty insurancelicense.

  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCUstrongly preferred.

  • Comfortable with internet-based programs andMicrosoft Office products.

  • Knowledge of Sagitta / ImageRight preferred, butnot required.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team environmentwith minimal instruction.

  • Keep informed about industry information,technology and trends.
