The Opportunity:
CACI, Inc. is accepting applications for a Quality Engineer to support the Contract for Organizing Spaceflight Mission Operations and Systems (COSMOS) contract. COSMOS specifies technical, managerial, and administrative work needed to ensure the availability, integrity, reliability, and security of the Flight Operations Directorate’s (FOD) Mission Systems supporting National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) space flight programs requiring mission operations support.
For this contract, “Mission Systems” is defined as the systems and subsystems of integrated hardware, software, networks, telecommunications, data, displays, and mockups used in the preparation for and performance of mission operations.
*Position contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
The COSMOS Quality Engineer assures the quality of products by evaluating technical documents such as drawings and specifications for adequate quality requirements and in-process controls.
Performs flight equipment acceptance reviews.
Prepares test readiness review documentation and identifies hardware pre-test status.
Approves work authorization documents and establishes mandatory inspection points.
Provides inputs to milestone reviews and boards.
Assists Quality Assurance Specialists.
Evaluates discrepancy reports and concurs on Material Review Board decisions.
Evaluates engineering changes and waivers for quality assurance impacts.
Performs trend analysis of non- conformances and prepares reports.
Evaluates inspection and test methods, tools, instruments, and processes for effectiveness.
Abides by and enforces adherence to published safety procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
Must be a US Citizen
Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Desired:
Prior experience supporting NASA programs
Experience and success in leading large and complex programs
Technically competent
Self-motivated
Attention to detail
Ability to work independently
Effective, professional interpersonal skills
Strong team player

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$53,100 - 106,300 USD
