Our client in Northwest Houston, TX is looking for a competent, bilingual (Spanish) Purchasing Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, supply management, and excellent negotiation skills. You will source materials with various vendors, track material by project, negotiate for better pricing and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

Record material entering/leaving the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy

Receive and process material orders from superintendents

Source materials with various vendors and seek competitive pricing

Place orders with suppliers for material and equipment via email or phone calls

Track material by project on an Excel spreadsheet, ensuring data accuracy

Prepare tax exempt certificates as required

Coordinate safety training as needed

Monitor pricing and spending to identify cost-saving opportunities

This is a direct hire opportunity paying up to 85K plus bonus and excellent benefits working 100% in office.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing or a related role.

• Proven experience in purchasing activities, management, materials, policies, strategies, and functions.

• Experience in the construction industry is required.

• Proficiency in Spanish language is advantageous.

• Strong negotiation skills.

• Ability to manage and coordinate purchasing activities.

• Knowledge of purchasing materials and policies.

• Understanding of purchasing strategies and functions.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred.
