About the role

The purpose of the Project Manager position is to support individual, multi-disciplined real estate project solutions for Industrial & Manufacturing clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial building construction projects (ground up and retrofit), large site development projects, or manufacturing facilities. This job requires candidates to physically work from our Houston office location.

What you’ll do

  • Lead all facets of project and program management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for multi-asset facility industrial greenfield projects.

  • Conduct periodic site visits to lead all aspects of the progress of construction and monitor the status of work completed during the schedule for delivery.

  • Apply CBRE standards to multifaceted real estate documents related to agreements, contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.

  • Supports construction and renovation projects and ensures detailed staff understands and implements safety requirements, operations, policies, and procedures.

  • Supports regional project reports, stewards account-specific Key Performance Indicators, and promotes overall program improvements. Performs training and ongoing mentoring for junior-level staff.

  • Building relationships with clients to ensure projects are being delivered against established expectations and to explore opportunities for program improvements.

  • Identifies project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification processes; conducts standard requests for proposals; completes bid analysis; recommends resources to clients.

  • Implements communication plan for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources briefed.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or 8 years of education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum of four years of experience in industrial or manufacturing construction project management.

  • Prior experience with reading and understanding architectural, Civil, Electrical, & Mechanical drawings.

  • Knowledge of MS Projects, MS Office Suite, and BlueBeam.
