Insight Global Profee Coding Manager in Houston, Texas

Job Description

A healthcare employer in Houston, TX is seeking an Profee Coding Manager to be responsible for managing the coding functions for all profee services within all the facilities in the healthcare system. The coding manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and educating coding staff, physicians, nurses, and other departments to ensure coding quality and timely reimbursement so this position must be certified in coding for 5 years plus. This person will oversee 3 coding supervisors and will be able to provide strategic direction.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience coding on the outpatient profee side

3 years of experience in a management progressive leadership role

Ability to oversee and lead multiple physician coding teams

Experience with EPIC from a professional billing/coding perspective (specifically EPIC Resolute)

Proficient with Microsoft Office Tools (word, excel, powerpoint, etc)

CPC Certification from AAPC

Responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to extract data and apply appropriate ICD-10-CM/CPT4 codes and modifiers for billing, internal and external reporting, research, and regulatory compliance

Knowledge of coding compliance policies, official coding guidelines, regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures affecting the coding process

Bachelors degree highly preferred

Must reside in Houston, TX - hybrid schedule null
