MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow - Radiation Physics - FLASH RT reserach in Houston, Texas
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Radiation Physics under the direct supervision of Dr. Emil Schueler. Research in the Schueler laboratory focuses on research into applications of FLASH RT. The fellow will develop and commission FLASH beam lines, develop detectors and dosimetry protocols, partake in radiobiological evaluations of the FLASH effect, and develop treatment planning workflows for FLASH RT.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Learn how to establish FLASH beam lines and dosimetry requirements.
Develop detectors and dosimetry protocol for FLASH RT
Developing irradiation setups for animal irradiation
Develop treatment planning workflows for clinical translation of FLASH
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidates should have finished (or be about to finish) their Ph.D. degrees in medical physics, physics, engineering, or similar. The individual is expected to work within a large group of motivated interdisciplinary professionals.
