Description We are seeking a Paralegal to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling immigration cases, with a focus on family law. This position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation and filing of immigration cases.

• Conduct legal research related to immigration and family law.

• Collaborate with attorneys to manage case preparation and documentation.

• Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.

• Ensure all client records are maintained accurately and up-to-date.

• Handle client inquiries professionally and promptly.

• Monitor the status of immigration cases and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Stay abreast of changes in immigration law and procedures.

• Utilize legal software to maintain case files and manage deadlines.

• Support attorneys in court proceedings if required. Requirements • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Law or related field

• Proficient in Immigration Law

• Must have passed a certified Paralegal course

• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in legal research tools and databases

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• High level of initiative and self-motivation

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Proven experience in drafting legal documents

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Possess knowledge of legal terminologies and court system

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
