Rice University Open Rank Faculty Positions in Physical Chemistry in Houston, Texas
The Department of Chemistry at Rice University in Houston, TX seeks applicants for tenure-track appointment at open-rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025. We seek faculty members who will develop a world-leading dynamic and innovative research program in fundamental science and who will excel in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, while embracing Rice University’s diverse community and culture of excellence.
We welcome applicants with expertise in any area of Physical Chemistry or Chemical Physics, including their applications to biology, materials science, complex systems, and sustainability. Candidates must complete their application through Interfolio, the hiring system for Rice University. A PhD in the chemical sciences or closely related fields is required by July 1, 2025.
